Who we are

J6 Venture (“J6 Venture”, “we”, “us”) is an SEO and content agency. We operate this website, the Alicia product, and a set of free tools (SEO Inspector, AI Crawler Control, Docs to Blocks). For the purposes of data-protection law we are the data controller for the personal data described below. You can reach us any time at ops@j6venture.com.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit a form or request access to something, we collect what you type in. Depending on the form that includes:

• Contact and strategy-session requests: your name, work email, company and message.
• Case-study access: the email you enter to unlock a gated case study, and the one-time code we send to verify it.
• Tool downloads: your first name, last name, work email and company when you request a plugin or extension download.
• Newsletter: when you subscribe to The Signal or Prompt Weekly, your first name and email. Subscription is double opt-in, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
• Proposals: if we send you a proposal, the email address it is addressed to and the access code used to open it.

Information we collect automatically. Like most websites, our server and analytics record limited technical information when you browse: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page and timestamps. When you open a proposal or a gated case study, we record that the email in question opened it, along with the time and IP, so we can follow up appropriately. Cookies and consent. We set only strictly necessary cookies by default (for example, remembering that you unlocked a gated case study, and remembering this choice). Non-essential cookies such as analytics are set only if you allow them through our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using Cookie Settings in the site footer.

How we use your information

• To respond to your enquiry, send the download or case study you asked for, and follow up about working together.
• To deliver, secure and improve our website, tools and the Alicia product.
• To send you the specific material you requested by email, and, where you are a client or an active prospect, relevant updates. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
• To keep records, prevent abuse, and meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

Our legal bases

Where the GDPR or similar law applies, we rely on: your consent (for optional marketing email, which you can withdraw at any time); the performance of a contract or steps you ask us to take before one (delivering a download, preparing a proposal, running an engagement); and our legitimate interests in running, securing and growing the business, balanced against your rights.

The Alicia product

Alicia is our AI-assisted SEO product. When you use Alicia through an engagement with us, we process the account details, site data and content you connect so the product can do its job. That data is used to operate the service for you and is not used to train third-party models or sold on. Specific handling is set out in the agreement that governs your engagement, which controls where it is more specific than this page.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the business, under contract and only for that purpose:

• Email delivery: we use Resend to send transactional and access emails (codes, download links, proposal notifications).
• Hosting and infrastructure: our website and databases run on managed hosting.
• Analytics: to understand aggregate site usage.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or as part of a business transfer. We will never hand your data to advertisers.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, then delete or anonymise it. Lead and enquiry records are kept while they remain a live prospect and for a reasonable period after; client records are kept for the length of the engagement plus any period required for tax and legal reasons.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict its processing, and receive a copy in portable form. You can also unsubscribe from marketing at any time. To exercise any of these, email ops@j6venture.com and we will respond within the time the law allows.

International transfers & security

We and our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where we do, we rely on appropriate safeguards. We protect your data with reasonable technical and organisational measures, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our website and services are meant for businesses and professionals. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be made prominent on this page.
