What the extension does with data

When you click the toolbar icon on a page, the extension:

• Reads the page currently open in your browser to collect its title, headings, visible text length, meta tags, canonical link and structured data.
• Requests three URLs on the site you are inspecting, /robots.txt, /llms.txt, and the page itself. These requests are made without cookies (credentials: 'omit').
• If you click Probe as crawlers, requests the page a further six times with the User-Agent header set to the published string of each crawler, again without cookies.

All analysis happens inside the popup, in your browser. Results are held in memory only for as long as the popup is open and are discarded when you close it.

What is transmitted, and where

Requests are made only to the origin of the page you are inspecting. No data is transmitted to J6 Venture or to any third party, because there is nowhere for it to go, the extension has no backend.

What is stored

Nothing. The storage permission is declared for future user preferences and currently holds no data.

Permissions, and why each one is needed

Permission	Why
activeTab	Read the page you are looking at, only when you click the icon.
scripting	Run the one-off collector function that reads the rendered page.
storage	Reserved for user preferences. Nothing is written today.
declarativeNetRequestWithHostAccess	Set the User-Agent header on the extension’s own probe requests. The rule is scoped to non-tab requests for the exact URL being probed and is removed immediately after each probe, so it never affects your normal browsing.
host_permissions <all_urls>	The extension must be able to fetch robots.txt and the raw HTML of whatever site you are inspecting. Since that can be any site, the permission has to be broad. It is used only for the requests described above.

Remote code

The extension executes no remotely hosted code and loads no remote configuration. Everything it runs ships inside the package.

Children

The extension is a developer tool, is not directed at children, and collects no information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If the extension ever begins handling data, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be noted in the extension’s changelog.
