Does SEO Inspector collect any of my data?

No. SEO Inspector has no backend, no account and no analytics. It runs entirely in your browser and transmits nothing to us or anyone else. See the full privacy policy.

How do I install the Chrome extension?

Add it from the Chrome Web Store, then click the SEO Inspector icon on any page you want to inspect. There is no setup, sign-in or configuration.

How do I install the WordPress plugin?

Install AI Crawler Control + Log from the WordPress plugin directory, or upload the zip under Plugins → Add New → Upload, then activate. The crawler log starts populating immediately.

Which AI crawlers are supported?

The major answer-engine and training crawlers, including GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, PerplexityBot, CCBot and Bytespider, with more added as they appear.

Will blocking AI crawlers hurt my Google rankings?

No. Blocking AI training and answer-engine crawlers (like GPTBot) is separate from Googlebot, which handles classic search indexing. The plugin lets you decide per crawler, so you can keep the answer engines you want to be cited in and block the rest.

Does the plugin slow my site down?

No. It logs crawler activity locally inside WordPress with no external calls and a minimal footprint. Nothing leaves your server.
